Length 29 and 30 cm respectively. With a tightly wound strip of paper on which prayers are printed in Tibetan script. This roll is inserted into the mill, the mill is turned by the swing weight and thus prays automatically. Prayer wheels are intended to combine physical activity and spiritual content. Paul Sollmann (1886 - 1950) was a German painter and graphic artist specializing in architecture and landscape painting. The well-traveled artist studied in Rome, Paris and Munich. His iconic depictions of Rothenburg o.d. Tauber can be found on numerous historical postcards. Wilhelm Schacht (1872 - 1951) was a German landscape painter who studied in Leipzig and Munich. Schacht was one of the co-founders of the artists' association "Rothenburger Künstlerbund". Condition: II

Twelve French or Austrian storage jars for cigarette papers of the Abadie brand, 1st half of the 20th century Cylindrical lidded jars in two sizes, the lids each with spherical knobs, with affixed paper labels with the stylized faces of an African and a Chinese, respectively, each marked "Papier a Cigarettes" and "Abadie Metal" (some of the labels detached, enclosed). Height 23 cm (small size, three times) and 39 cm (large size, nine times), diameter 14.7 cm. The Abadie company, founded in Paris in 1783 by Michel Abadie (production of the first cigarette paper in 1789) as a manufacturer of cigarette paper and cigarette tubes, established a branch in Vienna in 1910. Together with the simultaneously established plant in Prague, it employed around 1000 workers before the First World War. The colored paper labels are based on a design by the graphic artist Eugène Ogé (1861 - 1936 Paris) from 1907. Condition: II -

The letter is dated February 11, 1918 and addressed to his painter and sculptor friend, Luc-Albert Moreau, in which he congratulates himself on the acquisition of a drawing by his friend, depicting the Douaumont fort.
