From Greg Saunders, the original Vigilante created by Mort Weisinger and Mort Meskin, who appeared in 1941, to Adrian Chase, created in 1983 by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez, to the more recent incarnation of Dorian Chase, who appeared in 2007 in Nightwing #133-137 by Marv Wolfman and Jamal Igle. Now DC Comics announces the October 5 release of Vigilante: Southland, a new six-issue miniseries written by Gary Phillips and drawn by Elena Casagrande. "With Elena we're going right to America. To the land of superheroes. I mean even of superheroes. The land of cacti, but also of the Oscars. And so in our case the Oscars of Comics. Yes because it just won it, in 2021, in the Best New Series category with a Marvel publication entitled Black Widow, together with Kelly Thompson."
