In 1993, the Dobro brand was acquired by Gibson Guitar Corporation. Gibson electro-acoustic guitar model ES-125, year 1954 Launched in 1938 as the ES-100, the ES-125 was renamed in 1941 and remained in continuous production for over 30 years, becoming Gibson's most popular arch-top jazz model. With a laminated maple and mahogany body, a mahogany neck, a P-90 Alnico 5 pickup with volume and tone control, and a rosewood fingerboard with 19 frets and a 622mm (24.5") scale, this ES-125 is a fine example of the legendary models produced by Gibson in the 1950s.
