He is one of the most influential guitarists in the history of rock and blues music. Clapton was a member of several iconic bands, including The Yardbirds, Cream and Derek and the Dominos, before pursuing a prolific solo career. He is famous for songs such as "Layla", "Tears in Heaven" and "Wonderful Tonight". In 1995, Martin and Eric Clapton decided to collaborate for the first time. Thus, the 000-42EC model was developed in response to Eric Clapton's wish to merge his 1939 000-42 and vintage 000-28, highlighted by Clapton's MTV Unplugged concert and the joint release of this live CD, which won the 1993 Grammy for Best Album. The preferred characteristics of Eric Clapton's two instruments have been combined and optimized to create this limited series.
