AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY EIGHT DAY LONGCASE CLOCK WITH MOONPHASE the oak case of slender proportions enclosing a 12" arched brass dial with gilt masked spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a matted engraved centre with subsidiary seconds, the arch with two-handed calendar and moon age dials enclosing a penny moonphase aperture fronting an eight-day weight driven movement with five finned knopped pillars, complicated gear work linking the moon and calendar work, striking the hours on a bell.
