AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY SEAWEED MARQUETRY EIGHT-DAY LONGCASE CLOCK the 12" square brass dial with crown and cherub spandrels enclosing a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and signed to the bottom edge with matted centre having bird engraved date aperture and seconds dial. Fronting an eight day weight driven movement with knopped finned pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on a bell. The period panelled case with long trunk door and plinth base. (232cm high )
