SUKARNO: (1901-1970) Indonesian statesman and revolutionary who served as the first President of Indonesia 1945-67. Fountain pen ink signature on an oblong 12mo piece of feint ruled paper with two identical Indonesian postage stamps neatly affixed to the centre, both featuring Sukarno´s image. The President´s signature partially runs across the postage stamps. Lightly mounted to a T.L.S. by Dr. Suyati, secretary to the President, one page, 4to, Jakarta, 19th September 1959, to John A. Looper, sending ´the autograph of His Excellency across the stamps´. Some very light, minimal age wear, about VG
