The abstract talisman carved from chenxiangmu (agarwood) in the form of a vulva, utilizing the natural formations of the wood. The wood of light brown tone with lighter and darker streaks, it exudes a fragrant aroma typical for this type of wood. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above. Dr. István Zelnik, President of the Hungarian South and Southeast Asian Research Institute, is a former high-ranking Hungarian diplomat who spent several decades in Southeast Asia, building the largest known private collection of Asian art in Europe. Condition: Good condition with minor wear, natural age cracks, few tiny worm holes, and few minor losses. Weight: 23.9 g Dimensions: Length 7.5 cm This item contains ivory, rhinoceros horn, tortoise shell, and/or some types of tropical wood and is subject to CITES when exporting outside the EU. It is typically not possible to export such items outside of the EU, including to the UK.
