Finely executed in the manner of Katsushika Hokusai and depicting images from the series Fifty-three Stations on the Tokaido Road. Image SIZE 28 x 34 cm, SIZE incl. mounting 32.5 x 40.2 cm Condition: Very good condition with minor wear. Some soiling, dark spots, and stains. Firmly mounted on a cardboard frame. Provenance: From the private collection of Thomas Padua, Mühldorf, Germany. Thomas Padua was an artist and collector of Japanese woodblock prints who exhibited his surimono collection at the Olaf Gulbransson Museum, in ‘Glückwünsche aus Kyoto: Japanische Shijo-Surimono aus der Sammlung Thomas Padua,’ 3 November 2013 to 26 January 2014.
