PETER LØVIG NIELSEN (Denmark, 1929-2007). Coffee table, 1960s. Teak wood. In very good condition. Measurements: 41 x 150 x 45 cm. This table responds to the functional and minimalist aesthetics of Peter Løvig Nielsen, as well as the use of sustainable and environmentally friendly materials. It is raised on bambi legs, characteristic of Scandinavian furniture, joined two by two by means of chambranes. The long sides of the tabletop have a wooden slat placed perpendicularly that adds volume, elegance and distinction to the piece. Peter Løvig Nielsen trained as a cabinetmaker before studying furniture design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. He began his career as in the 1950s, and quickly gained recognition for his innovative designs. His furniture was characterized by clean lines, simplicity and functionality, and he often used natural materials such as wood and leather. His most iconic creations are the "Tulip" chair, the "Model 66" chair and the "Safari" chair.

Nordic design armchair and footstool, 70s. Cherry wood and taupe leather. Measurements: 85 x 78 x 90 cm (armchair); 40 x 75 x 70 cm (footrest). Set consisting of a comfortable armchair with matching footrest, both pieces of furniture with cherry wood structure in its natural colour and taupe leather upholstery, with a padding which, as well as providing comfort, gives a classic touch to the design, as a reference to the typical 19th century quilted capitonné upholstery. The structural lines are clearly visible, and take on special relevance through the warmth of the wood, uprights and crosspieces with proportionate, slightly curved lines, evoking an organic form that refers to the tradition of Nordic cabinetmaking. On top of this structure, the fully upholstered bodies, resting softly on the wood, like old furs.

FLORENCE KNOLL (Saginaw, United States, 1917 - Coral Gables, 2019) for KNOLL International. Sideboard, 1970's. Wood. Metal base. With signature label. Measurements: 65 cm x 188 cm x 45 cm. Sideboard designed by Florence Knoll. The refined and elegant aesthetics, based on clean lines and rounded but not heavy volumes, is characteristic of the author. The piece of furniture is organized in modules. It has four doors that conceal shelves and drawers. The handles are made of fabric. It rises on steel legs that lighten the structure. This iconic low sideboard design works as well in the dining room as it does in the office. Florence Knoll was an architect and furniture designer who studied with Mies van der Rohe and Eliel Saarinen. She created the new model for the modern office in postwar America. The company she created with her husband, Knoll Associates, became a leader in innovative interior design and modern furniture in the 1950s and 1960s, becoming one of the most important publishers of Scandinavian design.
