And this story begins on the first of July 2019, when I "fall in love" with Jaska, Maxime Biou's dog painted by him, exhibited at the Beaux-Arts de Paris among other of his paintings. It's obvious, Maxime Biou is a painter whom tradition calls figurative. He uses his paintbrush to create works that resonate perfectly with his vision of a realistic world, but with brushstrokes sufficiently charged with oil to inscribe a sometimes matte, sometimes glossy material on the prepared surface.
