AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY OAK POSTED CANOPY DRESSER with shaped overhanging moulded top supported by ring-turned posts above a cupboarded base with two frieze drawers and two panelled doors. (134cm wide 56cm deep 190cm high) The dresser is a good original example. There carcus on the base is all original, ther doors would have had pin hinged originally and have been replaced with H hinges. The feet have been spliced and replaced. The bottom boards and back are original, the drawers are original and have original linings. The top have been worked on and the back plank is replaced, the finish has been cleaned of and repolished. The rack looks to be original nd is the same period. The top cornice has woodworm and there is a broken section, one side piece of cornice is loose. The back boards on the rack are original apart from the bottom board.
