A LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH GORGE CASED PETITE SONNERIE REPEATING CARRIAGE CLOCK with white enamel dial having Roman numerals and signed makers mark, fronting an eight-day spring-driven movement striking the hours and quarters on two bells, fitted with a jewelled compensated lever escapement and strike silent lever beneath. The gorge case with bevelled glasses and folding handle (repeat button missing) is stamped on the back plate with the maker's name and numbered 2827. (12.5cm high handle down )
