A GEORGE III MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK OF SMALL PROPORTIONS the 10" arched painted dial with Roman chapter ring having seconds and date dials to the signed centre below strike silent dial to the arch. Fronting a five-pillar eight-day movement with rack strike on a bell and anchor escapement. The small case with wavy pediment and arched trunk door above a plinth base (199cm high ) The case has a good colour and original poolish, there's a small piece of veneer missing from the right corner of the bottom plinth otherwise i=in good condition. The white ground on the dial is original, numerals and name have been repainted, movement is original to the dial and is running but may need a service, and the seatboard looks old but is unusually thick; it is hard to say if the movement is original to the case but does fit well in the hood. Comes with the original pendulum and brass-cased weights.
