A rare gold and hairwork bracelet, mid 19th century, composed of gold panel links decorated with Rococo scrollwork, each set with a glazed panel containing a lock of hair, the reverse engraved with a baronial coronet above the letter D and the names of five children and their dates of birth, length 19.8cm, gross weight 82 grams Provenance: Henry Cholmondeley, 1st Baron Delamere, (1767-1855), MP for Cheshire, of Vale Royal Abbey in Whitegate, thence by descent within the family
