A large early 19th century gold key wind open faced quarter repeating pocket watch by Frederick Fatton, London, the silvered dial with subsidiary seconds dial at 3 o'clock, cylinder escapement with signed inner plate engraved Eleve de Brequet, London No 142, the back cover with French makers lozenge FM between four pellets and numbered 2039, plunge action striking on two gongs, 5.5cm wide Fredrick Louise Fatton first worked for Abraham Louis Brequet in Russia between 1801-1807. By 1814 he was Brequets independent agent in London, and was one of several men who signed their work Eleve de Brequet
