Description
CLEONICERAS FOSSIL AMMONITE FROM MADAGASCAR Fossil ammonite belonging to the extinct Cleoniceras cephalopod mollusks. An attractive, large specimen presented on a base in the form of a longitudinal section, revealing the crystallized elements of the internal cavities of this marine cephalopod mollusk. A mechanical polishing operation has been carried out, destructuring the external part of this mollusc to give it an aesthetic appearance. Dating on the geological time scale (fossiliferous) probably Upper Cretaceous-Albian (113-100.5 mA). This ammonite specimen was collected in Madagascar (Majunga region, northern Madagascar). Weight : 1eR : 440 g. - 15.52 oz - 2e : 454 g. - 16.01 OZ With base: HEIGHT. 21 - WIDTH. 13 - PROF. 8 CM - H. 8,2 - W. 5,1 - D. 3,1 IN. Without base: HEIGHT. 16 - WIDTH. 13 - PROF. 8 CM - H. 6,2 - w. 5.1 - d. 3,1 IN. This species of marine cephalopod fossil mollusc is not subject to regulation under the Washington Convention (CITES), European Community Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996, and the French Environment Code. A base-mounted ammonite cleoniceras, Majunga, Madagascar, Upper Cretaceous (-110 million years)
