First edition of Palladio in French, the work is entirely engraved and enriched with "nouvelles inventions pour l'art de bien bâtir" by Le Muet with a separate title: Traité des galeries, salles antechambres et chambres. This important work was reprinted many times, by Langlois and Mariette, and even pirated by Wetstein in Amsterdam.
