[ENGLAND]. [LONDON]. [POST]. Regulations issued by the "Postmaster-General" relating to the delivery of mail by Penny-Post. Large printed placard, dated September 8, 1794. Some small tears and creasing but overall good condition. Size: 700 x 485 mm. The London Penny Post was a postal system whose function was to deliver mail in London and its immediate suburbs for the modest sum of one penny. The Penny Post was founded in 1680 by William Dockwra and his partner, Robert Murray.
