FORSTER-NIETZSCHE ELISABETH: (1846-1935) Sister of German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche and the creator of the Nietzsche Archive in 1894. L.S., Elisabeth Forster-Nietzsche, with holograph subscription, two pages, 8vo, Weimar, 22nd March 1901, to a gentleman, on the black bordered mourning stationery of the Nietzsche Archive, in German. Forster-Nietzsche states that she has heard through Professor Lichtenberger that the copies of letters from Hippolyte Taine to her brother have been lost, and therefore sends them again (no longer present) and continues ´I would like to take this opportunity to ask you that if you should still find the letters my brother wrote to you, you would be kind enough to send me the exact copies of them´. With blank integral leaf. VG Hippolyte Taine (1828-1893) French historian, critic and philosopher.
