Pair of Louis XVI style glasses, 20th century. Cast iron. It shows wear and rust. Measurements: 72 x 53 x 35 cm. Pair of ornamental goblets in cast iron, resolved in Louis XVI classicist style. On bases of octagonal section and circular feet adorned with chiseled gallons the periform bellies are outlined and endowed with zoomorphic handles. These represent a pair of swans with long necks folded back on themselves, so that the beaks kiss the feathered breasts. Dense vegetal festoons adorn the vessels, standing out in generous reliefs. The synthetic and refined style harmonizes with the naturalistic interest in defining every detail, so that the chiseling reproduces the texture of the leaves and plumage.
