Pair of Renaissance altarpiece finials. Spain, 16th century. Carved, gilded and polychrome wood. Measurements: 15 x 59 x 4,5 cm. The markedly horizontal character of the pair of structures in bidding indicates that they could belong to the upper part of a Renaissance altarpiece. Both pieces present the same disposition: an angel's head is flanked by wings and curtains. It is also framed by relief moldings embellished with floral motifs.
