Maison LELEU - Jules LELEU (1883-1961) & André LELEU (1907-1995) Large rectangular coffee table. The anthracite-patinated metal base is composed of cylindrical shafts resting on a base evoking a brace. The square glides on the legs and the rings at the base of the shafts have a gold patina. The mirror top with aged tain and patinated brass frame. H. 48 cm - L. 120 cm - W. 55 cm. Created in 1957 for the Villa Medy Roc (Cap d'Antibes) Bibliography Leleu - Sous la direction de Françoise Siriex, éditions Monelle Hayot, Château de Saint-Remy-en-l'Eau, 2007. Pages 230 to 237 devoted entirely to the Villa Medy Roc; a tall, circular variant of our table is reproduced on page 233.

Model designed by Jules Leleu Important circular pedestal table, forming a dining room table, in radiant rosewood veneer marquetry, resting on a base with a cylindrical central shaft, encircled by two bronze rings, the tripod base is underlined by large half-moon-shaped bronze overhanging sabots, the top opens in the center to accommodate extension leaves. Damage and restoration. Stamped in two places LELEU Paris and numbered 14487 under the tray belt and on the foot H. 65 cm D.125 cm Bibliography: La Maison française n° 16 of March 1948. Identical model, accompanied by a drawing showing the table open to accommodate extension leaves, reproduced on page 27.
