LELEU House. Jules LELEU (1883-1961) & André LELEU (1907-1995). Model designed by Jules Leleu Important circular pedestal table, forming a dining room table, in radiant rosewood veneer marquetry, resting on a base with a cylindrical central shaft, encircled by two bronze rings, the tripod base is underlined by large half-moon-shaped bronze overhanging sabots, the top opens in the center to accommodate extension leaves. Damage and restoration. Stamped in two places LELEU Paris and numbered 14487 under the tray belt and on the foot H. 65 cm D.125 cm Bibliography: La Maison française n° 16 of March 1948. Identical model, accompanied by a drawing showing the table open to accommodate extension leaves, reproduced on page 27.
