LENYA LOTTE: (1898-1981) Austrian-born American actress, an Academy Award nominee. Lenya portrayed the murderous and sadistic Rosa Klebb in the James Bond movie From Russia with Love (1963). A good vintage signed and inscribed sepia 8 x 10 photograph of Lenya in a half-length pose resting her arms on the top of a wooden stool at her side. Signed in black ink at the head of the image and dated 11th May 1954 in her hand. VG

Inscribed on the verso: "Original drawing, Morris Kantor, Do not destroy". Morris Kantor was a Minsk-born American painter. Kantor's work is in collections of many prominent museums, including the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Whitney Museum,Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, Art Institute of Chicago, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and Hirshhorn Museum.

He had his first solo exhibition in 1926 and began teaching art the following year at the Contemporary Art School and The New School. Soyer's work is in collections of many museums, including Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, Smithsonian American Art Museum, and Philadelphia Museum of Art.
