THESIGER ERNEST: (1879-1961) English actor, remembered for his portrayal of Doctor Septimus Pretorius in Bride of Frankenstein (1935). Vintage signed postcard photograph of the actor seated in a full-length pose in costume as Emperor Tiberius from the American fictional Biblical epic film The Robe (1953). Signed by Thesiger in blue ink, his surname running across a slightly darker area at the base of the image. One very slight, minor trace of former mounting to the verso, VG
