Consisting of three rows, of which a total of 8 set, antique gold coins alternate with domed, oval emeralds set in gold in the two outer rows. The middle row consists exclusively of set emeralds. A total of 16 emeralds are set. Between them, 34 mother-of-pearl pearls are suspended from the connecting elements with gold wire. Among the gold coins are four Roman aurei of Augustus (RIC 198; Calicó I 174a), Marcus Aurelius (RIC 88; Calicó I 1885), a modern imitation of an aureus of Didius Julianus (type antique not documented) and an aureus of Gordian III (RIC 23; Calicó II 3213), 3 Roman solidi of Julian II, Constantius II and Leo I and a Byzantine solidus of Phocas.
