Elephant mask "Izzi". Nigeria, Igbo. L 55cm, W 25cm, H 33cm. Stylized elephant head with small tusks and horn growing out of the forehead parallel to the nose. A smaller human head with bared teeth protrudes from the back. The mask stands on an attached raffia ring. White and black paint. Small cracks in the wood, paint rubbed.
