Hemispherical mask for the women's MAPIKO dance. Makonde, Mozambique/Tanzania. H 26cm, made of gray terracotta with cupped ears and angular scarification marks on the cheeks; the right ear decorated with blue glass beads (missing) (inv. no. 53). Illustrated in: K.-F.
