Urartian bronze bell. ca. 9th-8th century BC H 9.5 cm, ø 6.6 cm. Small solid bronze bell, probably a horse bell, conical in shape, with two raised horizontal ridges and a further ridge at the base, four rectangular and two small round openings in the "registers"; fixed ring-shaped loop at the top. Two opposing incised head images in profile on the upper set. Intact with only minor encrustation. Without clapper. Provenance: Ex collection J.H., acquired late 1990s until before 2004.
