Aryballos in sand core technique. Eastern Mediterranean, 5th century BC. H 6cm. Dark blue glass. Globular body with rounded base, narrow neck, flaring rim and two knobbed handles. Body decorated with a yellow and light blue zigzag pattern framed by yellow threads. Reassembled from several fragments, tiny losses to the rim. Provenance: ex Gorny & Mosch 300, 2023, lot 253; ex collection Dr. Wiegand, Bavaria, collection period 1960s to 2005.
