Alabastron in sand core technique. Eastern Mediterranean, 6th - 4th century BC. H 13.8cm. White and dark blue glass. Cylindrical vessel with a widely flaring rim and small knobbed handles. Body decorated with garland pattern. Rare in these colors! One bottom and one shoulder fragment restored, broken at the neck and replaced, weathering gold-colored. Provenance: ex Gorny & Mosch 300, 2023, lot 239; ex collection Dr. Wiegand, Bavaria, collection period 1960s to 2005.
