Chalcedony stamp seal. Sasanian, 5th century AD ø 2.8cm. Ovoid with cross hole. Two standing 'Gayomard' figures on the high oval seal face, holding a total of three staffs, including an animal, probably a dog. Cf. Splendeur des Sassanides.
