Scroll seal with worship scene. Ancient Syrian, 18th - 16th century BC. H 2.4 cm, ø 1.3 cm. Hematite. Two figures with Syrian beaded cloaks and high headdresses stand facing each other, each with one arm bent; between them an incense stand, above it a small jug and a sun disk in a crescent moon. Behind the figure on the right is a person with a broad-brimmed cap carrying a small goat on his right; between these figures are a crescent moon, star, rhombus and ankh. As a secondary scene a Syrian braided band, above and below a sphinx with a raised right front paw. With a copy of the invoice! With unrolling! Published in: E.
