Pair of gold earrings with boat pendant. Hellenistic, 2nd half 4th century BC. 44g, l 8.2cm, ø disc 2.5cm. Round disc with filigree rosette decoration on the front and a hook on the smooth back. Attached to it is a boat-shaped pendant, covered with granulated decoration on the front and with ornamental tendrils of gold wire on the back. Small rosettes at the tips of the boat, a palmette with volutes in the center. Small rosettes at the lower end of the boat pendants, to which foxtail chains are attached, ending in rosettes with acorn and spindle-shaped pendants. Magnificent pieces! Gold! Cf. C.
