Glass rod pendant in gold setting. Late Roman, 4th - 5th century A.D. W 6.5cm, H 2.3cm. Two glass rods made of translucent, greenish clear glass, joined at the ends by gold settings. An eyelet on each of the settings of the upper glass rod. The sockets are decorated with loops of twisted gold wire. One end of the lower glass rod is stabilized with an antique metal cuff. Gold! Intact. Provenance: Ex private property M.T., Munich, since the 1980s.
