Roman figurative lamp in the shape of the head of an African. Imperial period, 1st - 2nd century A.D. H 5.2cm, L 10.5cm. The lamp snout emerges from the mouth, the round filling hole on the calotte, behind it two eyelets for the lid and a thumb rest in the form of an ivy leaf above a ring handle.
