Clasp with Heracles. Roman, 2nd - 3rd century A.D. L 13.9cm. Full casting. The hero dressed in a lion skin stands on a reclining lion. Finished with a swan's head. Magnificent patina! Detailed relief in good provincial Roman style, remnants of corroded iron. Provenance: Ex Austrian private collection M. S., since the 1970s. At Gorny & Mosch auction 279, Munich 2021, lot 131.
