Roman transport amphora for olive oil of the Lamboglia 2 type. Adriatic coast of Italy, ca. 110 BC - 50 AD. H 84.5cm and with stand 90.5cm. Dark brown clay. With high and undercut mouth rim and strap handles. With a beautiful iron stand! Foot tip broken, otherwise unbroken and intact, remnants of marine growth. Provenance: From the private collection D. W., Baden-Württemberg; previously in a German private collection since the 1970s.
