Roman conical-necked beaker, so-called Trier saying beaker. 280 - 330 A.D. H 9.9cm, ø body 7.4cm. Form Symonds 1, black engobe and white painting. The letters INPLE ("Fill me!") separated by dots on the body. With certificate of authenticity from Galerie Günter Puhze, Freiburg im Breisgau! Small chips to the muzzle and foot, engobe chipped in small areas, otherwise intact. Provenance: From the R. L. Collection, Lower Saxony, acquired in 2004 from Galerie Puhze, Freiburg im Breisgau; previously in the Rhenish private collection M. U., acquired in the 1960s and 1970s.
