Apulian bowl of the Gnathiaware. 2nd half 4th century BC. H 5.6cm, W with handles 22.2cm, ø mouth 15.2cm. Low bowl with foot ring. Glossy earthenware with white and yellow painting and incisions. Inside a sixteen-pointed star in the middle of a laurel wreath. A branch under each rim on the outside. One handle broken and reattached, with small repaired losses and a tiny chip to the rim. Provenance: From the W. M. Collection, Bavaria; at Gorny & Mosch Auction 287, Munich 2022, lot 21; previously R. K. Collection, Hesse, since before 1980.
