He was the author of a tragedy in five acts, Médée, imitated by Seneca, and various poems published by two of his friends, Boiceau and Gabriel Bouchet. The first edition of Diverses poésies... was published undated, around 1555. Three editions followed in 1557, 1573 and 1576, and the fifth in 1597. A copy with three added leaves, laminated to the last endpaper and flyleaf, Epitaph by Jean de La Peruse and an article on his Médée.
