Description
A black-figure lekythos whose body is decorated with a scene depicting Dionysus seated on a stool and holding a rhyton between two maenads and two satures in a décor of sprigs of dots. The shoulder is decorated with a frieze of palmettes topped with tongues. Black-glazed orange clay with red paint highlights. Breaks, otherwise well preserved. Greek art, Attica, circa 500 B.C.
