PAIR OF OFFICER'S FLINTLOCK PISTOLS. Flintlock barrels with hairline rifling and radiating sights, engraved on the upper rifling with "Canon tordu" and geometric friezes with thunderbolts. Sights with two leaves, one of which is movable. Tailpieces engraved with foliage. Lock plates signed "Manufacture" on one, "de Versailles" on the other, and gooseneck hammers with flat bodies finely engraved with friezes and foliage, as well as the upper jaw and battery. Oval iron basins with large spark arrestors. Roller battery springs. Adjustable triggers. Finely engraved and chased iron trimmings with foliage and two dolphins on the trigger guard front. Bridges decorated with foliage. Counter plates decorated en suite. Oval knobs decorated with foliage and wreaths of leaves. All screws guilloché. Varnished walnut crossbars, squared and carved, with long shafts and hollow backs. Wooden sticks with horn and iron tips. Length: 34 cm. B.E. First Empire period.
