(1512). JUVENAL. FAMILIARE COMMENTUM. ARGUMENTA SATYRARUM JUVENALIS. Lyon, Bernard Rosier and Jean Thomas [and] Simon Vincent, October 29, 1512. In-4° gothic, [6]-151-[1] leaves, marbled basane, ornate ribbed spine, red edges (18th c. binding). Rare Lyon edition of Juvenal's Satyres with commentaries by Mancinellus and Josse Bade, given by Simon Vincent and printed jointly by Bernard Rosier and Jean Thomas, "Only 3 works are known to have been produced in association by these two printers, during the years 1511 and 1512"... (Baudrier). The title, printed in red and black, is framed by borders showing 14 characters including Juvenal, Mancinelli and Josse Bade, engraved by G. Leroy. Some browning and a few short-trimmed leaves with very small loss. Covers and corners worn. (Baudrier XII, 33). From the library of Louis de La Saussaye (1801-1878) with his armorial bookplate.
