Juvenal (Decimus or Decius-Junius Juvenalis) was a Latin satirical poet of the early Christian era. His Satires enjoyed great success in the late Middle Ages & were translated during the humanist period. They inspired Nicolas Boileau & are very often printed with Perse's satires.
