Émile GALLÉ (1846 - 1904) Walnut and mahogany molded and carved display cabinet with burr walnut veneer and curved quadrangular body. The front opens through a glass door to an interior with three adjustable-height glass shelves and a cabinet back decorated in marquetry of different woods with dragonflies and a weeping willow in a lakeside landscape. Front uprights sculpted with kingfishers at the top and terminated by four small ribbed curved legs joined at the front by a curved belt decorated with lianas in bas-relief. Upper entablature with curved body and stained walnut appliqué with creeper decoration. Signed in the marquetry.
