In-4, red morocco, triple gilt fillet, spine decorated with a repeated iron (a lyre with two crossing flabellums), small inner lace, gilt edges (Bradel). Edition of 250 copies on wove paper, part of the Collection des auteurs classiques français et latins published by order of Louis XVI for the education of the Dauphin. Elegant morocco binding by Bradel l'aîné, successor to his uncle Sr. Derome le Jeune, signed with his label at the address rue St Jacques, Hôtel de la Couture, N°65. Numerous scattered light foxing. Rubbing to binding, small dent on one corner.
