Oberleutnant d.R. Erich Loewenhardt - a signed picture of the PLM aviator. Half-length portrait in uniform with Pour le Mérite and EK I, handwritten ink signature "Loewenhardt". On mount with hand painted laurel decoration and inscription "Leutnant Löwenhardt". Framed in modern style, dimensions 22 x 17 cm. Erich Loewenhardt, one of only three fighter pilots with over 50 kills, was awarded the Pour le Mérite on 31.5.1918 and died in a fatal accident on 10 August 1918, after he had previously achieved his 54th kill.
