Work of the Louis XVI period Height 86 Width 62 Depth 60 cm (reinforcements) If Claude Sené illustrates himself in the Louis XV style by a decorative repertoire which he entrusts to Nicolas Heurtaut, he confirms all the virtuosity of his art in the neo-classical style of the reign of Louis XVI. This production remains confidential because effective during a very short time. Claude Sené stopped producing in 1780. Very rare examples are to be noted. This pair of bergères is then a rare testimony sharing already the decorative repertoire of Jean-Baptiste Sené, received master in 1769.
